About The King Charles Room

King Charles II slept in this opulent crimson-damask decorated room in the 1670's. The room is decorated as it was at that time, complete with state bed, gilt fringed curtains and luxurious bathroom-once the adjoining 17th century dressing room.

The room possesses 17th century windows, ceiling and cornicing, floorboards and panelling. The mattress is a £5,000 Vispring, guaranteeing wonderful sleep.

The bathroom has underfloor heating, heated towel rail, huge bath and overbath power shower.
